The gypsy curse of 2014

So I recently have been noticing an inordinate amount of lettuce cores that I have been receiving in my salads lately. I eat a lot of salads, so perhaps this is just the luck of the draw, but it’s a bummer to get an inedible hunk of core nestled amongst the leaves, pretending to bulk up your dish and cruelly hogging dressing. Gypsy curse is the only thing I can think of to explain this new phenomenon, and I have to admit, as far as those kinds of things go, it could have been a lot worse. So I’m now taking pics of them as they happen, because otherwise, who would believe it? Here’s the latest three from the last few weeks.
